Dr. Yang holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of New South Wales and a Doctoral degree in Mineral Economics from CUGB. He is a CFA charterholder, a Chartered Valuer and Appraiser registered with the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore, and a Certified Mineral Valuer. He is a certified Registered Management Consultant in Singapore. He also holds a Start-up Valuation Certificate from the Duke University, USA.

With 15 years of experience in the valuation industry, Dr. Yang is a well-recognised valuer with professional competence, integrity, and industry expertise. He is highly regarded by regulators both in Singapore and overseas, global stock exchanges, professional societies and industry associations. Throughout his career, he has completed over 100 major valuation projects and advised a wide range of local and international clients including public companies listed on SGX, HKEx, ASX, LSE, and other global stock exchanges, tier-one financial institutions, State-owned enterprises and private corporations. Dr. Yang is also a guest lecturer at SUIBE, China in conjunction with SUSS, Singapore.

Max is a valuation professional in Hong Kong with multinational credentials gained from Hong Kong, the USA and the UK. He is a valuation specialist with multidisciplinary knowledge in accounting (as qualified accountant), valuation (with credential recognised in the USA) and finance (with his solid academic background). Max has obtained Certified Public Valuer credential, the official credential for conducting statutory valuation in Mainland China.

Max has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, in which he mainly focuses on business valuation and transaction advisory. He has played a leading role in many prominent valuation projects including valuation of global premium brands, World Bank funded utility projects, oil and gas extraction projects in the United States and Canada, infrastructural projects under build-operate-transfer model, solar and wind power plants, banks, logistic hub in Singapore, water treatment plants in Australia, a toll road in the United Kingdom, a container port in Brazil and a premium food manufacturer in Spain.

In addition to providing valuation opinion to clients for internal reference, he also signed off valuation report on behalf of his employers for listed companies in Hong Kong and Singapore for their disclosure publicly for substantial corporate actions (mainly acquisition and disposal of assets and a group of companies). The valuation involved companies in agriculture, retail, mining, internet, automobile, education, financial services, multimedia, internet, real estate, property management, entertainment, electronic equipment and infrastructural sectors.

Max obtained a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Hong Kong and Bachelor Degree in Business (Finance) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Max holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager and Chartered Valuation Surveyor from Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Jimmy has over 10 years of experience in the professional advisory industry, with a focus on providing independent valuation opinions, value consulting and cross-border transfer pricing services. Before joining Valtech Valuation, he has served PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong and another sizable valuation advisory firm in Hong Kong.

Jimmy has advised his clients from a wide industry spectrum, such as state-owned utility conglomerate, global energy group, century-long retail chains, renowned media group, tech start-ups. He has advised on technical issues under various valuation contexts, including:

• Statutory IFRS audits on listed entities, private groups and startups (e.g. startups of HKSTP LEAP programme),

• Quarterly NAV reporting of private capital funds,

• Pre-IPO preferred shares and employee incentive schemes,

• Independent opinion on acquisitions and disposal for public disclosure,

• Strategic restructuring, quantifying damages under legal disputes, fund raising and tax compliance.

Jimmy holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and Financial Risk Manager. He obtained his Master’s degree in Finance (Investment Management) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Jimmy was inducted as a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society.

Marvin has over 10 years of experience in the professional service industry, including auditing, internal control advisory, financial due diligence, and with a focus on business valuation services.

Marvin is experienced in performing business valuation for State-owned enterprises, private and public companies. He provides valuation services mainly to support the purpose of financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, tax filing and fund raising. He has performed valuation of projects for State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) filing in the PRC, listed companies’ circular filing in Hong Kong and Singapore.

He has earned valuation experience in industries including but not limited to food and beverage, education, financial service, hotel, toll road, mining, ship building, pharmacy, agriculture, trading, e-platform, marketing, person-to-person microlending, waste management, intelligent parking, etc.

He is also experienced in intangible asset valuation including customer relationship, trademark, franchise agreement, mining right, patent, distribution network and concession right.
